As Director of Business Development & Strategic Advisor at Stine Tax and Wealth Management, Tommy Bilbo Jr. brings more than 30 years of experience in industry, leadership, and entrepreneurship to the clients he serves. A Desert Storm veteran and proud Lake Charles native, Tommy began his journey in the Louisiana National Guard before earning a degree from McNeese State University and building a respected career in the petrochemical industry.
In addition to his main career, Tommy and his wife successfully launched and managed several small businesses—including a transportation company, restaurant, and daycare—while growing a real estate investment portfolio. These hands-on experiences served to give Tommy a deeper understanding of the financial planning needs of business owners and working families in Lake Charles.
His life changed when he received retirement planning guidance from the team at Stine Tax and Wealth Management. That advice helped him achieve financial independence and retire early. Inspired to help others do the same, Tommy joined the Stine Advisors Lake Charles team and is proud to support clients on their journeys toward financial confidence and autonomy.
Tommy works with our team to deliver tax and estate planning for retirees in Louisiana as well as retirement income strategies, tax-efficient investment planning, and IRA and 401(k) rollover assistance. He currently holds licenses in Life, Accident, and Health Insurance in both Louisiana and Texas, offering clients guidance on life insurance and annuity solutions, as well as Medicare and long-term care planning. Committed to ongoing professional development, Tommy is preparing for his Series 65 exam to become a fiduciary financial advisor in Lake Charles.
A strong believer in service and community, Tommy volunteers locally, supports leadership initiatives, and coaches youth sports in his spare time. His deep faith, family values, and belief in continuing education all guide his work as a trusted independent wealth advisor Lake Charles families can count on. Tommy will be starting his elected terms as a city council District C member of Lake Charles on July 1, 2025.
